Fables for kids

A fable is a short story with a lesson tucked inside it, usually told through animals who behave a lot like people. They are a lovely way to start a conversation with a child about honesty, patience and kindness without turning it into a lecture.

Fabeligo brings together fables for kids from many places. There are Aesop's classics such as The Hare and the Tortoise and The Lion and the Mouse, alongside tales from India and West Africa, like The Blue Jackal and How Anansi Brought Stories to the World. Many are short enough for ages 2–5, and others are made for ages 6–9.

Every story is narrated in Swedish, English and Norwegian, with read-along text in seven languages. Fabeligo is free for every family, with no ads and no accounts, and every story can be downloaded to work offline. Stories with a moral are easy to fit into a quiet moment, on the sofa or on the way to school.
